Polypropylene (PP) does not readily degrade in water under normal conditions. It is considered a very resistant plastic that breaks down extremely slowly in aquatic environments. Factors like sunlight, high temperatures, and certain chemical reactions can cause it to degrade over very long periods. Long term use should be avoided since eventually PP will break down into smaller micro plastics. We do have customers who successfully use our bags for marine rope storage, dredging, debris filtration, and waterway environmental cleanup.
The mesh spacing on our bags is +/- 4mm x 6mm. This is the closest size to a 17"x20" bag we currently carry, however, we are able to provide custom sizing for high-volume customers. Please Contact Us for more details if that is the case.
