Are the SilverTip 10 degree blades the best blade for cutting oak and pine?

A 10 degree blade, such as the Wood-Mizer SilverTip, is your go-to blade for sawing both "clean and green" softwood and hardwood. We typically advise using a 9 or 7 degree blade for really dense hardwoods such as hard maple, black locust, and reclaimed beams or if your logs are frozen.
