How long after cutting a log can I use this product for it still be affective?

For best results, this product should be applied as soon as possible before the log starts loosing moisture out the end grain. It can still be applied and be effective if substantial checking is not already present. If damage from checking has already occurred, the log can be trimmed back to unchecked, sound wood and sealed. If the log was not sealed at the time the tree was felled, this usually happens at the sawmill or when stickering freshly sawn material.
